The Red Sox have officailly smartened up and made the move that we've all been waiting for. Pablo Sandoval has been designated for assignment.
This is arguably a more joyful day in Boston than the day we acquired Chris Sale. In his miserable 3 years (161 games) in Boston, Sandoval hit .237 with 14 HR's, 59 RBI's, and racked up 21 errors. That's not good. In fact, that's downright dreadful. At least now that gigantic waste of $95 million can go piss people off somewhere else. The real question is: Will anyone else be willing to take a chance on him? I know I wouldn't. Full article on Pablo's departure coming later today.
