I have had somewhat of a plug on the offseason improvement of Marcus Smart. I've received very positive information, that leads me to believe Smart will have a great year in green for the Boston Celtics.
Over his 3 year career, Smart has averaged 9.3 points, 3.8 rebounds, 3.7 assists, and 1.5 steals per game.
He is now coming off of his best year. Averaging 10.6 points, 4.6 assists, 3.9 rebounds, and 1.6 steals per game.
I believe that Marcus Smart will have an even better 2017-18 season. With the work he has put in, I am lead to believe he will rise to a new level and shine for the Celtics this season.
Smart has been putting in hours of work this offseason, both on and off the court.
These are all good signs for the 23-year-old former 6th overall pick. Marcus Smart is due for a breakout year as he enters his 4th season as an NBA player.
At the very least, we can expect Smart to be the tone-setter, or the attitude guy, this season. I expect him to be one of, if not the true leader of this team.
