Nike unveiled a new custom colorway shoe created by Celtics forward Jayson Tatum on Wednesday afternoon.
Nike announced additional shoe releases for fellow young NBA stars Devin Booker and De'Aaron Fox along with Tatum's that will be released as part of the same campaign. Tatum's show will be the last of the three shoes to be made available to the public, which will happen nationwide on June 15th. All three shoes will be available two days earlier than their full release at the House of Hoops store. Tatum chose the Air Max 97's to create his colorway.
It will be Tatum's first shoe release of any kind since entering the NBA. Tatum signed with Nike prior to the 2017 NBA Draft, but the details of the deal were never made public. The Celtics young star has yet to receive his own signature shoe from the legendary apparel brand. However, his presence within the Nike company has been growing. Tatum debuted Nike's self-lacing "Adapt BB" shoes this past January against the Toronto Raptors.
