Wow, okay, the series is not over yet, but the Milwaukee Bucks are showing that they came to play in round 1 of the NBA Playoffs. I saw so much hype surrounding the Raptors playoff run to be. They were the ONLY team that could challenge Cleveland in the East, at least apparently. Well, the Raptors are having trouble getting past Giannis Antetokounmpo and the Bucks. Right now the Bucks are leading the series 2-1, and I believe they will take the series in either 5 or 6 games.
It is so enjoyable watching Giannis operate on the floor. He is nothing short of remarkable. Now, he has had plenty of recognition this season. That is true. But did anyone think this kid could perform this well in the playoffs? I mean seriously...
Game 1: 28 Points
Game 2: 24, 15, and 7
Game 3: 19, 8, and 8
The kid is just getting the job done. He is leading his 6-seed team to the next round, step by step. However, this article not about Giannis, but rather about how the Raptors are, once again like I've said before, overrated. They are not that good. They just aren't. I don't even have to mention how they fall apart in the playoffs, all the time.
This team is not constructed to challenge anyone. DeMar DeRozan can't win games by himself. He is a great player, but not at that point yet. And Kyle Lowry's support is bleh...yeah..."bleh." Lowry never plays well in the playoffs. The fact that many consider him to be a top-tier point guard is honestly beyond me. I think he is an average to above average player. Nothin special. And if this series doesn't prove that, then I don't know what does...
As NBA fans, let's just face it. Toronto is not that good. They are a mediocre team filled with mediocre talent.
"Oh but they added Serge Ibaka and other pieces!!" Yes... and who cares? That makes them better than Cleveland? That makes them able to compete with top Western Conference talent. No, it doesn't.
Even if Toronto wins this series, I think they've already been proven to be frauds. Milwaukee has shown that this team is just not what many thought they were.
