Boston Celtics vs. Philadelphia 76ers: Keys to the Series and Predictions
There's no better way to start off the night than by seeing Terry Rozier show up in a Drew Bledsoe jersey, trolling Eric Bledsoe. Rozier already had the last laugh in his beef with Eric Bledsoe after the Game 7 victory. This move simply buries Bledsoe for all eternity.
Half an hour to tip-off and we have just been informed that Jaylen Brown will be OUT tonight. That is going to make this game tough. Brown has been one of, if not the best offensive player for the Celts thus far into the NBA Playoffs.
Coming to grips with the fact that Brown is out tonight, may change how confident I am in a Celtics win, but I still believe this Sixers team is overrated. So, I am sticking to my guns. It is 7:35pm and I still predict the Celtics to win this game.
Just about 15 minutes to game time... Couldn't agree more Keisha.
HERE WE GO. IT IS GAMETIME!
First impression... we can beat this team. The Sixers are good, but this Celtics team can play with anyone.
C's looks good so far. They are running with this team, and playing great defense. They are making Simmons uncomfortable, which was one of my keys to the series.
RANDOM THOUGHT: TERRY ROZIER IS GOING TO BE A STAR. He already has 10 points with time still left in the first quarter. I can't get enough of this guy.
First Quarter Summary:
Celtics lead Sixers, 25-22
Terry Rozier has 10 and 6 (rebounds). He is CERTAINLY feeling himself out there.
Marcus Morris looks good off the bench as well.
Joel Embiid has 5 points and 5 rebounds
The story of the quarter was the Celtics making Ben Simmons uncomfortable. He has only 3 points and 2 assists.
Uh oh Sixers... Al Horford is coming to life here early in the second quarter. You better watch out...
ALERT: BEN SIMMONS IS RATTLED!!!
Celtics lead by 11 at half.
Celtics lead Sixers 56-45 after 24 minutes of play.
Jayson Tatum came on STRONG in the second, he now sits at half with 16 points.
Terry Rozier is up to 13 points and 7 rebounds. I have already guaranteed a double-double from him.
Al Horford has come to life, he has 12 points, 3 rebounds, and 3 assists. At one point in the quarter, he scored 8 of the last 10 points for the green team.
Embiid has dropped 13 points, he also has 8 rebounds.
Ben Simmons only has 8 points and just 2 assists heading into the half.

Halfway through the third... Aron Baynes drills another three. Now, if Baynes is going to go sharpshooter on us, this Celtics team can beat ANYONE! Celtics lead 70-58.
I will admit, I am not the biggest Baynes fan, but he has been a great presence tonight. He is grabbing must-grab rebounds as well.
This game is getting out of hand... 81-67 Celtics. Hate to see that (not).
Third Quarter Summary:
Celtics lead Sixers 87-75
Tatum and Horford both have dropped over 20 points. Rozier is up to 16 points.
Embiid is doing his thing. 24 points and 11 rebounds. Simmons is starting to get it going, but is nowhere near dominance. 13 points, 3 assists, 2 rebounds.
There is still over nine minutes left, but I truly believe Terry 'Takeover' Rozier just hit the dagger three. This Sixers team is not coming back. No way.
It is 110-92 with about three minutes left... The Celtics are showing no mercy. And I like it. Correction... Terry Rozier is showing no mercy.
The Celtics have put their scrubs in. 1:44 left, score of 115-97... yikes.
Celtics crush Sixers 117-101
Terry Rozier finishes with 29 points, 8 rebounds, and 6 assists. So close to a double-double. Hell, close to a triple-double.
Tatum was right behind him with 28 points. Horford had 26. Marcus Morris supplied 11 off the bench.
Simmons finished with a +/- of -20.
Embiid's 31 points and 13 rebounds were not enough to hold off the C's in Game 1.
Next game: Thursday, May 5th 8:30pm
