Kyrie Irving is catching a lot of buzz lately. In fact, it is negative buzz. Negative buzz I believe to be unwarranted. Why? Well, let me tell you...
People were absolutely pummeling onto Irving for how he's a punk or a unfaithful player. I immediately was flabbergasted.
Why does a grown man have to tell another grown man how he is going to be living his future life? LeBron James is not the father of Kyrie. He is not the GM of the Cavs. He is not God.
James is another player in the league. End of story. No if, and, or buts about it. Sure you can make the argument that he is the most important player in the league, but that does not give him the right to gran clearance on his teammates' actions.
So... the title is a bit misleading. I know. However, it also makes complete sense. Kyrie Irving does not owe LeBron James a thank you. This doesn't deserve to be a story in the media. He does not owe LeBron any sort of thank you in any way.
"Oh but LeBron got Irving to the finals."
"LeBron won Irving a ring."
To that I say shut it. Kyrie Irving was crucial in that team's success. They did it TOGETHER. As two of the most important guys on that Cleveland team.
This is the EXACT reason why Irving wanted out of Cleveland... Staying on that team meant he would never get the recognition he deserved as a winner and great player.
LeBron won them that ring? Let me leave you with this...
