When the Celtics flew out to Atlanta, one of the most important players on the team was notably not on the plane with them. Jaylen Brown. Jaylen Brown flew out early to his hometown of Atlanta. He was on the first flight after the Celtics game against the Warriors was over, a game in which he scored 22 points in route to a statement win over the defending champs. That 22 point performance came on the heels of Jaylen learning that his best friend from high school, Trevin Steede, had passed away.
Jaylen followed up his 22 points game against the Warriors with a career-high 27 points back in his hometown of Atlanta as the Celtics grabbed their 15th straight win. Jaylen played an inspired game making sure to play his heart out and put on a show in front of his friends and family that attended the game, but most importantly for the Steede family.
Jaylen has been the Celtics leading scorer for 2 straight games now and has gained national attention from Stephen A. Smith as well as others for his performances as of late.
