The Boston Bruins scored a whopping five goals in the first period. The Hurricanes pulled goaltender Cam Ward after both Patrice Bergeron and Riley Nash scored to put the B’s up 2-0. Scott Darling relieved Ward and was even worse than Ward probably would have been if he remained in the game.
First Period Scoring Summary:
Patrice Bergeron(13)- Assisted by Brad Marchand(19)
Riley Nash(5)- Assisted by Kevan Miller(7) and David Backes(9)
David Pastrnak(16)- Assisted by Patrice Bergeron(15) and Danton Heinen(19)

Patrice Bergeron(14)- Assisted by Brad Marchand(20)
Hurricanes goal scored by Jordan Staal(11) assisted byTeuvo Teravainen(22) and Noah Hanifin(14)
Second Period:
The B’s picked up right where they left off and continued to dominate the Hurricanes. Patrice Bergeron had a field day with the Canes as he added a third goal to record his second career hat trick, his first hat trick since January 11, 2011 against the Ottawa Senators.
Patrice Bergeron(15)- Assisted by Brad Marchand(21) and David Pastrnak(21)
Patrice Bergeron(16)- Assisted by David Pastrnak(22) and Brad Marchand(22)
Third Period:
The third period was pretty uneventful. By the third period, the Bruins knew they had won the game and the Hurricanes had lost all hopes of making a miraculous comeback. No goals were scored in the third period and the Bruins sat on the lead making smart plays and not allowing the Hurricanes to create any scoring chances.
My Three Stars of The Game:
Patrice Bergeron- 4 G, 1 A- 5 P
David Pastrnak- 1 G, 2 A- 3 P
Brad Marchand- 4 A- 4 P
Post Game Analysis:
The Bruins are rolling right now, they have won 8 of their last 10 and have outscored opponents 40-13. The B's have scored five or more goals in 5 of their last 9 games and now have a record of 23-10-6. With games in hand on every team above them in the standings, the Bruins sit 7th in the league. The Bruins are playing great hockey right now and are getting goal scoring from all four lines right now. When it's not the kids scoring it's the veterans and vice versa. Don Sweeney and Bruce Cassidy have done a fantastic job with this squad and we can only hope that they keep playing like this.
