Last season, Bradley played very well. In the offseason I was not opposed to trading him, again thinking he is not going to get any better than that, but here he is playing at an all-time high level of performance. He has been one of the most important and valuable guys on the Celtics this season.
Bradley is averaging 18 points and nearly 9 rebounds a game so far this season. Take me back to a year ago, tell me that, I would respond by telling you you're crazy.
This is a guy that I believed to have no upside. I would tell people, "This is it. His stock is as high as it'll ever be." Lo and behold he just keeps climbing the metaphorical latter. By doing so, he continues to prove nay-sayers wrong.
Now, what those statistics illustrate to me is a player that is constantly gaining confidence in his offense. That confidence is most likely the reason he keeps getting better.
Bradley has been in the league seven years. He has constantly gotten better, even when I think it is impossible. Now, do I dare say it again... Is this as good as Avery Bradley will get? I will keep my lips sealed for the time being...
