After losing to the Ottawa Senators in game three of the Stanley Cup playoffs, Bruins’ front office has some time to decide on the coaching status for the upcoming season. To keep Bruce Cassidy or to not to. Coach Cassidy was labeled the Interim head coach of the Boston Bruins in mid February and led the team to a regular season record of 18-8-1. During an Interview after the heartbreaking loss to Ottawa, Cassidy told reporters that he would 100% like to stay as head coach next year and remove the “interim” title from his name. In my opinion Cassidy is the right man for the job and has so far proven himself to be an excellent coach. He brings great offensive pressure and cycles good defensive strategies in his coaching plans.

We've all seen the slide, the reaction, and heard about the incident all over sports media. If you have not seen it, which also means you live under a rock, I will show you the video of Manny Macado's spiking slide into Dustin Pedroia below. Was this slide dirty? Maybe, but that is not the point of this post. I am more concerned with how everyone is handling it.

Nashville Predators vs. St. Louis Blues
Few would have predicted that these two franchises, who are both still looking for their first Stanley Cup, would meet up in the second round of the playoffs this year. This matchup was unlikely for a few reasons, but easily the most notable factor was that not many people expected the Predators to make it past the Chicago Blackhawks in the first round.

It started in 1918. We all know the story. Greedy and money obsessed Red Sox owner Harry Freeze has a problem with star player Babe Ruth’s constant drinking, smoking and fighting. So he trades him to the New York Yankees, and the rest is history. Ruth finishes his career with 714 home runs and goes down as one of the greatest players ever to play the game. The Red Sox end up being $100,000 richer but in return are cursed for 86 years.

Let me just get one thing out of the way. Manny Machado is a bitch. He is immature, short-tempered, flashy and irrational. Though he’s very fun to watch, and probably the most talented left side infielder on the planet, he takes the life that comes with it for granted, and goes about it the wrong way He has been the centerpiece of far too many tense baseball moments for me to have a lot of respect for the guy. That being said, as much as I’d like to blame this entire ordeal on Manny, I can bring myself to see it that way.

Yes, that Gerald Green. That Gerald Green that was known as just a “dunker” for most of his career. That Gerald Green that was traded away from the Celtics in the Kevin Garnett deal almost 10 years ago now. That Gerald Green that at just 23 years old had to go play overseas because he couldn’t get an NBA contract. That Gerald Green that over a decade ago was thought of as a promising young Celtic prospect, has won the Celtics a playoff game.
