Don't tell my colleagues over at GuyBostonSports, but New York City is the sports mecca of the world. And we are at a point in the year where we are going to have the NBA, MLB, NHL, MLS and NCAA Tournament all going. Let's not forget about the XFL!
With all of the teams based in New York, the new video segment, "New York Sports Minute," will provide you with a brief recap of your favorite New York teams.
So, I present to you, the first episode:
Transcript: With your New York Sports Minute, I’m Samara Rosenfeld. Just one day after the Nets parted ways with head coach Kenny Atkinson, Brooklyn won its second-straight after defeating the Bulls 110-107. Spencer Dinwiddie led the way with 24 points, while Caris LeVert and Joe Harris each added 23 points of their own.
The Knicks added another game to the win column after defeating the Pistons 96-84, backed by a 22-point, 13-rebound double-double by Julius Randle.
The Mets took down the Astros 3-1 in a Spring Training matchup after a two-run fifth inning gave New York the lead. The Yankees also recorded a win after edging by the Braves 1-0.
The Buffalo Sabres will look to snap a six-game losing streak as it takes on the Washington Capitals at home tonight.
Once again, with your New York Sports Minute, I'm Samara Rosenfeld.
