Last night was a bit slow in the realm of New York sports, I won't lie. Since we aren't in the heart of baseball season yet, and both the Nets and Knicks had the night off, there wasn't much action. Still, we prevail, thanks largely in part to a thrilling shootout win by the Buffalo Sabres.
I present to you, the New York Sports Minute for 3/10:
Transcript: With your New York Sports Minute, I’m Samara Rosenfeld.
The Buffalo Sabres snapped a six-game losing streak last night after defeating the Washington Capitals 3-2 in a shootout. Dominik Kahun netted the game winner for Buffalo in the seventh round while goalkeeper Linus Ullmark played his part, saving 33 of 35 shots on goal.
The Rangers will take on the Dallas Stars tonight, while the Islanders look to end a six-game losing streak as it plays the Vancouver Canucks.
Switching over to baseball, the Mets tied the Marlins 1-1 and the Yankees were defeated by the Phillies 3-1.
The Brooklyn Nets are back in action tonight and look to stay strong on the road against a scorching hot LeBron James and the Los Angeles Lakers. The Knicks are in Washington hoping to snag a win against the Wizards in the first game of a back-to-back.
Once again, I'm Samara Rosenfeld, and that was your New York Sports Minute.
