Landed Gordon Hayward. Traded Avery Bradley. But is there more to come? Could Danny Ainge have a few more moves up his sleeve? And if he does or doesn't, how does that affect the season? Do I think the Celtics are done making moves? Do I think they need to make any more moves?
My short answer is: I think there are more moves to come. However, I do not see any blockbuster trade coming. All of the info i have heard from sources regarding Gasol or even Thompson seems very thin. Those two names seem to be an ultimate end goal. Land one more star, soon. However, for this offseason I am not expecting anyone like that, especially Thompson (even though I have heard his name). IF, and it is a big if, they are attempting to acquire Gasol it would not happen until the deadline, if i were to guess.
Now, do I think they need to make any more moves? No. I think the Celtics have had an amazing offseason. The one thing they had to do was done. Signing a big name free agent, Gordon Hayward.
If the seasons started today, I would be thrilled with the roster changes. With the additions of Hayward and Tatum this team got some scoring that was much needed. Then, with the addition of the bulldog in Marcus Morris, i think this team has a bit more edge.
It'll be tough to see Avery's defense go, but I have been calling for his trading for a couple seasons now. He was the type of guy that they can get something for. Which they did.
Regardless of what is possibly coming, I am satisfied with the changes Ainge and constructed during this offseason. If they are going to sang a few more pieces that help, great. If not, all good.
